Yeah it’s been quite on this Substack, who would’ve known that having more time meant filling it up faster than before. Summer ended and we didn’t even notice (it’s not like the humidity levels changed that much) and now all the leaves are falling again and obscuring the dog shit in the sidewalk (!), so we’re treading more slowly and certainly more carefully. This is a real short one, basically just to say:
SHOW TOMORROW AT DE KOER: BOUWSEL BLASTS
You can find us in Ghent again for some elemental building blocks colliding this new collaborative excursion by KRAAK & De Koer, where music, installation and performance find common ground around a concept of fundamental value. For this first edition of Bouwsel Blasts, four acts of different artistic persuasions incorporate the theme of light into their respective processes, to startling and gawk-worthy effect. We got De Mond’s drummertronics chaos exploding into Floris Vanhoof’s strobe madness, Heta Bilaletdin’s kaleidoscopic visuals and deconstructed dub, Quanta Qualia’s ad hoc worldbuilding and speculative playtime, and a special surprise installation by lighting poets Bosse Provoost and Ezra Veldhuis ~ last minute addition of DJ Rasta en Zoon will be nothing short of blinding 😵💫 eyes and ears tune into each other most sparkingly tomorrow in Ghent!
